Consulting the legal framework

For most tribunals, IAT Search also indexes the governing legal framework — Statutes, Rules of Procedure, Practice Directions, Codes of Conduct and related instruments. Open the Framework panel for the tribunal you are viewing to browse and read these documents.

When you use the Legal Research Assistant, relevant provisions of the framework are consulted alongside the case law, so a procedural question (for example, a filing deadline) can be answered by citing the applicable article of the Statute as well as the judgments that apply it.
