Searching case law

IAT Search offers two complementary ways to search within a tribunal:

  • Semantic search finds judgments by meaning, not just exact words — useful when you know the concept but not the precise terminology used by the tribunal.
  • Lexical (full-text) search finds exact terms and phrases, with stemming so that variants of a word (for example dismantling, dismantled, dismantle) all match.

You can refine results with filters (such as organization, date or document type, depending on the tribunal) and sort them by relevance, date or case number. To open the full judgment, click any result; the original PDF is always one click away.
